Brahmanbaria (B. Baria) District has heritage sites, riverfronts, temples, mosques and historic zamindar estates spread across its 9 upazilas — Sadar, Akhaura, Ashuganj, Kasba, Nabinagar, Nasirnagar, Sarail, Bancharampur and Bijoynagar.

Highlights include the Titas River & Ghats, the birthplace of classical musician Ustad Alauddin Khan, the 18th-century Kal Bhairab Temple, the Mughal-era Arifail Shahi Mosque in Sarail, and the Akhaura Land Port on the India border. Historic zamindar estates — Brahmanbaria Rajbari, Shashadbari, Haripur, Laur and Nabinagar Rajbari — are scattered across the district, along with the Meghna riverside at Ashuganj and the seasonal wetlands of Bijoynagar and Nasirnagar.
